Our guests come to Burg’s Landing for many reasons, but most of them seem to have a strong desire to get outside and experience the splendor of nature this region has to offer. Located just 10 miles south of Tacoma, the inn offers spectacular views of Puget Sound, Mt. Rainier, and the Cascade Mountains.
We are located on Anderson Island, the southernmost island in Puget Sound, just a short ferry ride away from the mainland. With the beach just steps away from the front door, and endless trails nearby, the options for an outdoor adventure are endless.
Guests can tour Anderson Island, Washington by car, bicycle, or foot. Any way is enjoyable.
About 2 miles from The Inn at Burg’s Landing Bed and Breakfast is the old one-room school house built in the 1890’s that your host, Ken Burg, attended as a boy growing up on the Island. Approximately 1 mile from the old school is the Johnson Farm, now the Anderson Island Historical Society Museum.
Other activities available near The Inn at Burg’s Landing Bed and Breakfast on Anderson Island include golf, tennis, and swimming in one of the two fresh water lakes.
There are kyak rentals and lessons on Island, you could go for a bike ridd, visit the private beach, go hiking, go for a picnic or just hang out and breath the fresh air with a glass of wine in hand and some good music playing.
