About 2 miles from The Inn at Burg's Landing Bed and Breakfast is the old one-room school house built in the 1890's that your host, Ken Burg, attended as a boy growing up on the Island. Approximately 1 mile from the old school is the Johnson Farm, now the Anderson Island Historical Society Museum. Directions Visitors to Anderson Island, Washington must ride the ferry from Steilacoom, Washington. Take the Dupont/ Steilacomm exit #119 off of Interstate 5 south of Tacoma. We are located on Villa Beach Road, one hundred yards east of the ferry landing on Anderson Island.
